On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's Christmas Eve service. Then, we came home and ate our traditional wedding soup with pretzel salad for dessert. Michael and I both grew up having wedding soup on Christmas Eve. It is the only time of the year that we have it, and we look forward to it ever year. The first year I made it, it literally took me all day to make, but for some reason this year I was done after four hours. I don't know how I managed to pull that one off with a very busy little girl...I mean baby...you know, she still is our baby! After we were done eating, Mackenzie opened a gift of new pajamas. I think it is such a sweet little tradition, and it is enough to hold her over until Christmas morning.
I will share some details about our Christmas day over the next few days. Time to go watch a movie with my hubby. Hope you had a great Christmas and are still enjoying the joys of the season!

Jessica, you look beautiful on these pics!! And that Mackenzie, adorable!! Merry Christmas to you. You are dear to me! Vance's work has been crazy, there was no Lynden trip for us. I really missed seeing my family, but a cozy Christmas with our family of four was a blessing in its own way. I just wish Vance's work would let up! Love ya.
We have the pajama tradition too, though I have to tell you I usually get a picture of the kids welling up with tears of disappoint over them! I think the picture is more the tradition!!
